Theatre Whit has recently concluded its fall session acting classes and is welcoming enrollment in their new Winter 2011 session.
If you'd like to take a free test-drive of Theatre Whit for Youth, come join the fun on Saturday, November 20th. The acting company is offering "a free intro of innovative & creative theatre classes open to all youth in the community." In less than one hour, create-a-play and perform for parents.
Free Day Schedule:
Class I: Preschool -2nd grade from 1 - 2 pm
Class II: 3rd-8th grade from 3 - 4 pm

Winter session classes begin on January 10th and end on March 7th. Final performances take place on March 13, 2011.
Winter session class offerings include:
TELL ME A STORY Ages: Preschool - Kindergarten; Meets Tuesdays 4 - 5 pm; Cost: $75
Entertain your classmates with a performance of your favorite bedtime story. Each budding artist will narrate their story while your friends perform it on stage.Use costumes and props to stage the story while learning the ABC’s of theatre. A DVD of the performances is included with tuition.
CHILD'S PLAY Ages: 1st - 2nd grade; Meets Mondays 4 - 5 pm or Tuesdays 5:15 - 6:15 pm Cost: $75
Dive into the world of theatre when characters from our favorite stories come to life on the stage! Have fun acting out your favorite stories while you learn about performance, make costumes, help build the set, play games, have fun, and perform in front of family and friends.
CREATE-A-PLAY Ages: 1st - 2nd grade (Thursdays 4 to 5pm) OR 3rd - 8th grade (Mondays 6:30 to 7:30 pm or Wednesdays 5:15 to 6:15 pm) Cost: $75
Are you inspired to create your own play? Come share plots, settings, and characters with your theatre friends. We will work together, to produce a play of your own creation to share with family and friends while discovering various facets of theatre along the way.
CLASS ACT Ages: 3rd - 8th grade (Mondays 5:15 to 6:15 pm OR Wednesdays 4 - 5 pm) Cost: $75
Become a class act while acting in a show! Learn about acting techniques, the rehearsal process, work on the set, make costumes, create props, and have fun! This class will culminate in a final performance for family and friends.
EXTENDED CLASS ACT (90 MINUTE CLASS) Ages: 3rd - 8th grade (Wednesdays 6:30 to 8 pm OR Thursdays 5:15 - 6:45 pm) Cost: $100
THE DIRECTOR’S CHAIR Ages 3rd-8th Grade Tuesdays 6:30 - 7:30 pm Cost: $75
Take Charge! See your ideas come to life on stage. Each week, a member of the class will direct their classmates bringing words to life as your vision goes from the page to the stage.
