Water bills and the water bill woman

Water bills infuriate many citizens of Baltimore every 3 months or so.  A water bill is one of the most frustrating aspects of Baltimore city living.  The water billing process is mysterious and for some it seems to be random.  If the water billing process could be simplified and made public we would end up with a happier population.  Councilman Jack Young has taken interest in this subject in the past and I think it would be helpful if he could stir things up again.

The City Paper did a story on Linda Stewart back in 2007.  Ms. Stewart accused the city of sending out inaccurate and impossible water bills.  So many of us can relate to her frustration and confusion. Today I found Ms. Stewart's water bill website.  The site has some interesting statistics on it and at the very least it can be used as an online gathering place for water bill complaints and protests.

I complained to Shelies Dixon and the sh_ty council about my water bill and they told me to bug off. All they could say is that I must have leak somewhere. I don't have a leak the only leak I have is the one in my pocket from paying those high city fees and taxes. Somebody is pocketing a whole lot of money.
