Last night's Bravo episode of "Watch What Happens: Live," gave fans a chance to see Teresa and Joe Giudice together since their 39-count indictment.
Andy announced that they would break their silence, but certain questions were off-limits for legal reasons. Andy pointed out the consequences they are facing for a total of 50 years in jail. He said that many people expected them to hide after these charges, but they continued to make public appearances and even visited Dina in the Hamptons.
Joe stated that they pleaded “not guilty” for a reason. They seemed sedate and relaxed and still very much in love. Teresa wore a gray pant suit with a white shell underneath. Joe was dressed in a suit.
Andy asked if they would consider leaving their children with Melissa and Joe if necessary. Teresa stated that they never even considered this, but Joe said that if necessary, he had his sister and brother who would step in, not Melissa and Joe. He stated that because of the things said by them on television about their mother; the kids would not want to be with them.
Andy asked if the show brought on the charges, and Joe said it absolutely did. Andy asked if Teresa regretted saying that she did not want to live in a used house? She said she did, and asked for respect from the other cast members, as she would do the same for them.
She stated that she never got involved with her husband’s finances. Andy also brought up the fact that Joe admitted his fears, and he stated that they cannot let this consume them. Teresa did admit to having sleepless nights.
Joe stated that the DUI charges were not related to the federal charges, but one never knows. When he spent a week in jail, he kept himself busy by doing chores and working out. Joe is not thinking about being deported; he has a green card and came here when he was a year-old. He was born in Italy, and just never bothered to become a citizen. Both mentioned their attorneys and accountants, and Teresa stated that she did not understand all the charges, especially wire fraud.
The couple held hands throughout the entire episode, that was a solemn one. No bartender, no jokes and games, just Andy, Teresa and Joe. Andy asked if they lived beyond their means? Both answered in the negative. They are hard workers and require new things for the sake of the show. Teresa cannot understand why this happened and when Andy mentioned that he became emotional just because he knew them, they remained calm. Andy stated that people would think they are in denial of the situation. Andy lauded them for being strong through this situation, but she stated that she must be strong for her girls. Andy continued to reiterate the “39-counts," and if he had a drinking game going on, there would be plenty of drunks in the audience on this episode of "Watch What Happens: Live."
