Watch the debut of Fistful of Mercy, with Ben Harper, Dhani Harrison and Joseph Arthur as heard on KCRW radio today. Word of the group just broke this week. Here's a writeup in the Los Angeles Times.
Harrison, of course, made a big splash in thenewno2, while Ben Harper played with Ringo Starr and the Relentless7 in several gigs to promote the release of Ringo's "Y Not" album. Arthur hails from Akron, Ohio, and was discovered by Peter Gabriel.
You can also see another video of the group in our most recent Beatle News Briefs.

cool!
The description of this trio as a supergroup is really presumptious on their part. I hope they are not describing themselves that way. Dhani Harrison is known mostly for being George Harrison's son. thenewno2 has performed at tiny venues or as the opening act of more well known groups and has zero commercial success, Ben Lee has been the most successful of the three but is hardly a superstar. And who is Arthur supposed to be that any one would know!
