Watch this: Jordyn Wieber on The Ellen DeGeneres Show

In what has become a pre-Games ritual for Olympic gymnastics favorites, World champion Jordyn Wieber sat down with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres for a chat that aired Friday morning.

Wieber does so in the footsteps of Shawn Johnson, who appeared on Ellen after winning her own World title in 2007. (Watch that clip here.)

Indeed, DeGeneres quizzed Wieber about competing against Johnson and others on the U.S. team, wondering if she hoped they made mistakes in competition.

"Maybe deep down," Wieber conceded eventually, drawing laughter from the audience. She also performed on uneven bars, showing a double layout dismount. Watch the clip here.
