If you're looking for the perfect romantic movie to watch with your sweetie for Valentine's Day, Internet streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Instant Video have a variety of good options available.

For $1.99 ($2.99 in HD), you can rent the outstanding 1951 Gene Kelly musical "Singing in the Rain" from Amazon Instant Video. Kelly stars as a screen heartthrob of the silent movie era who finds his acting career jeopardized when he has to make a "talkie" film with his shrill-voiced leading lady. Many consider Kelly's outstanding performance of the title song to be one of the best movie numbers of all time. The film also features Debbie Reynolds and Donald O'Connor.

You can rent "The Princess Bride" for $2.99 from Amazon Instant Video. Based on a book by William Goldman, this classic Rob Reiner film stars Robin Wright as a beleaguered commoner forced to marry a dreadful prince unless her true love (Cary Elwes) can save her. The theme song, "Storybook Love," aptly describes the romance, but the movie has action, adventure and fantasy elements, too. The movie also stars Mandy Patinkin and Andre the Giant.

Amazon Prime members can stream "The Greatest Show on Earth," the classic 1952 film directed by Cecil B. DeMille and starring Charlton Heston, Jimmy Stewart and Betty Hutton. The main love triangle revolves around a circus trapeze artist, her circus manager boyfriend and her new rival for the trapeze spotlight. The movie won won Academy Awards for Best Picture and Best Story.

You can catch the classic 1970s musical "Grease" free with Amazon Prime or Netflix membership. The music is so catchy and the dancing so energetic that you forget the slim plot and the actors, including John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, who are at least 10 years older than the teenagers they portray.

Amazon Prime members can stream "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" without charge, enjoying a lighthearted musical romp with upbeat musical numbers and impressive dance choreography. As with many other film musicals, the plot is flimsy and unrealistic, but the performances by Howard Keel, Jane Powell and company make it worthwhile.

You can catch "Bull Durham" free with your Netflix streaming subscription, especially if you've never seen the classic film about baseball, love and life. Partially filmed on location in Durham, NC, the movie stars Kevin Costner, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins.

If you'd fancy a tragic love story and have some time to watch a television mini-series, you can buy all four episodes of "The Thorn Birds" from Amazon Instant Video for about $8.00. The 1983 mini-series, based on Colleen McCullough's popular novel, stars Rachel Ward as a woman who spends her entire life in love with a man she can never marry, played by Richard Chamberlain.
