Watch the full version of 'The Story of Stuff' video now being criticized by Glenn Beck

The Obama school speech has been replaced with "The Story of Stuff" as a new example of the educational system gone wrong according to Glenn Beck.  Today and yesterday Beck took aim at the video about the environment and American model of consumption.  Specifically, Beck is critical of schools which have shown the video in classrooms and given students questions to answer on the subject matter.

In the video an environmentalist essentially explains how the consumption cycle destroys the earth, contributes to toxin buildup in humans, and generally leads to less happiness for people as a whole.  She supports her assertions with dozens of statistics and facts which Beck never addresses on his show.  The twenty minute long lecture is critical of the entire American system of economics built on consumption and blames corporations for contributing to the problem in an effort to expand their profits.  It is the criticism of the corporation which really has drawn fire from Beck but I found many themes such as frugality that conservatives like Beck should find admirable.

Watch the video yourself below and provide your thoughts on the lecture.

I'm not sure who your trying to represent but you are dead wrong on a "target" with Glenn Beck. Thank goodness we actually have a journalist that is looking out for the interest of the people. This video is appalling. Indoctrination at it's finest. Shame on you for not being a real journalist and remaining neutral in your opinions and stating the facts from both sides. Your journey in journalism will be short. The people want the truth

Tiffinie - As 'appalling' as you state the film was (and I highly doubt you actually watched the film), are you saying there was no truth at all in the film? No truth at all? You may be living in a fantasy world...I hope you’re fighting the real indoctrination of how religion is forced on young people with the same vigor. Talk about another fantasy world.

Just listen to Voelker's comments today on 'too big to fail' and you'll see that the corporations actually run the government. We're a "Corpo-democracy." We're not 'free' - we're constantly under the thumb of major corporations as noted in The Story of Stuff.
