The first full-length trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is here, and it definitely does not disappoint. Sony has been teasing a humongous battle for Peter Parker in the sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man, but now that we see that he is going to be facing three of his greatest adversaries, Spidey's work is really going to be cut out for him.
Not only do we finally get a glimpse of two of the biggest, baddest villains in Rhino (Paul Giamatti) and Electro (Jamie Foxx) in action, but the film is obviously setting up a battle between the newly introduced Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) and everyone's favorite webslinger. It's hard to tell which Osborn has taken up the mantle of the Green Goblin from the short clips in the trailers, but judging by the few seconds we see of Norman Osborn (Chris Cooper) laying in a bed (and obviously not in great shape), it wouldn't be far-fetched to say that Harry picks up the hoverboard after the events of this film. Another interesting moment in the trailer is a glimpse of what appears to be Vulture's wings and Doctor Octopus' tentacles in the OsCorp laboratory. Sinister Six, anyone?
After actually seeing the Rhino suit in action, many fans should feel a little bit better about the portrayal of the character. The Ultimate version of the character is similar, so it doesn't look to be a Transformers ripoff as some have said recently, and Electro is much more fun to watch in motion than in the pictures that we have seen so far. Another gripe that seems to be alleviated with this trailer is the "video game" CGI look that seems to plague some of these superhero movies. Not only does the CGI in this film look smoother and more realistic, it seems to have a motion to it that truly gives it that Spider-Man feel that it needs.
