On Feb. 11, Ellen DeGeneres aired a clip of pint-sized stars Sophia Grace and Rosie covering the red carpet at the 2013 Grammy Awards. It wasn’t the girls’ first time at the rodeo. They also covered the 2012 Grammys for Ellen, as well as the American Music Awards. Be sure to watch the video below to catch the adorably outspoken duo in action on Sunday.
Decked out in their signature pink, fluffy dresses and sparkly tiaras, Sophie Grace Brownlee and Rosie McClelland interviewed some of music’s biggest stars at this year’s Grammy Awards. Carly Rae Jepsen stopped by to speak to the tiny princesses and said, “You look amazing today.” Janelle Monae struck her best Cover Girl pose with Sophia Grace and Rosie.
Upon seeing Carrie Underwood, Sophia Grace broke out into her own rendition of “Cowboy Casanova,” which was quite good. Afterward, Carrie presented the girls with two VIP tickets to see her music festival in London.
Adam Levine and James Valentine from Maroon 5 were very excited to stop and talk to Sophia Grace and Rosie. In fact, Adam put on Sophia’s crown and exclaimed, “You are my favorite people in the whole world!” Florence Welch from Florence + The Machine shared a snack with the tots and Nicole Kidman taught them how to be Australian and say, “G’day, mate.” Katy Perry shared high fives and LL Cool J came prepared. He presented Sophia Grace and Rosie with adorable lollipop necklaces, which they both loved. Drake also stopped by and joked, “I like you guys probably as much as your father."
At the end of their time on the red carpet at the 2013 Grammys, Sophia Grace pointed to the award and said, “I’m going to have one of them one day.” Rosie added excitedly, “Me too!”
Ellen DeGeneres started promoting Sophia Grace and Rosie when they appeared on her show in November 2011 and sang a Nicki Minaj song. Ever since then, the two little princesses have become the talk of Hollywood. At last year’s Grammy Awards, they interviewed Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Lady Antebellum, Adam Levine, Flo Rida and Rihanna.
Since appearing on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on numerous occasions, Sophia Grace Brownlee and Rosie McClelland have attracted thousands of fans, including more than 50,000 on their Facebook fan page. They won a Teen Choice Award in 2012 for Choice Web Stars and appeared on stage with Ellen to accept their coveted surfboard. In addition to hopping the pond to appear on “Ellen," Sophia Grace and Rosie are also famous authors. “Tea Time with Sophia Grace and Rosie” hit store shelves on Feb. 1 and continues to do very well.
So, what’s next? The sky is the limit for these two talented performers who continue to take America by storm.
