Hollywood is actively getting involved in the political process as the Presidential election gets closer. On Monday a new ad from MoveOn.org was released and it features three prominent actresses that focus on women’s issues. Directed by Rob Reiner, the ad has dialog from Scarlett Johansson, Eva Longoria and Kerry Washington all talking into the cameras about voting issues for women. Talking about women’s rights and choices of the future, the ladies are using their star power to attract attention and encourage people to vote for current President Obama.

While Hollywood hasn't ever reached as far as it has this election, even though it is three weeks off, and it appears the new connection to politics is a dawn of a new era. Making voting and policies more glamorous people are getting entertainment type sound bites that help define voting choices.

Rumor has it that there are at least six more political ads coming from different producers on voting, voting issues and endorsements for the President in the next week. As Hollywood’s biggest names get involved in the process, some people are asking if it will hurt the entertainers who lend their voices. Only time will give an answer for that question.

Take a look at the video clip of Scarlett Johansson, Eva Longoria, and Kerry Washington talking about women’s rights.
