The Jodi Arias trial has been compared to that of acquitted Florida mother Casey Anthony, as it has quickly demanded public interest and media attention to match. HLN hosts such as Nancy Grace and Jane Velez-Mitchell have reported from Arizona where Jodi Arias faces the death penalty for charges of first-degree murder, stemming from the June 4, 2008, gruesome killing of her lover Travis Alexander.

As of March 12, 2013, Jodi Arias has been on the witness stand for 17 days and is expected to resume answering jury questions when the trial resumes live on March 13, 2013. Following the conclusion of Arias’ testimony will be two final defense witnesses who are expected to bolster Arias’ claims she stabbed Travis Alexander 29 times, shot him in the head, and slashed his throat from ear to ear in self-defense.
