Viewers can watch free live streaming of 'iTunes Festival' SXSW from their iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, or watch from the comfort of their living room, thanks to Apple adding a free channel to Apple TV, according to Apple Insider (March 9).

Just a few days before the band London Grammar hits the stage of the Moody Theater on March 11 to start the “iTunes Festival” at SXSW, Apple has added a free channel to Apple TV so viewers can watch high definition live streaming of all “iTunes Festival” SXSW concerts. Right now the “iTunes Festival” channel shows the performance schedule, background info on each act, as well as background info on the “iTunes Festival” itself—which up till now has only be held in London, United Kingdom.

If you don't have Apple TV, you watch live streaming of these concerts from Austin, Texas on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with the free app “iTunes Festival”SXSW, which right now also displays the same performance info, photos and descriptions that the Apple TV channel is showing.

Besides London Grammar, you can watch live streaming of concerts by Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Kendrick Lamar, ScHoolboy Q, Isaiah Rashad, Soundgarden, Band of Skulls, Pitbull, Keith Urban, Willie Nelson and more.

The “iTunes Festival” SXSW lasts for five nights, from March 11 to March 15.

The “iTunes Festival” SXSW channel just appears on your Apple TV and doesn't require a software update.

The “iTunes Festival” SXSW app is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and is free to download at the App Store. This free app is rated 12+ for mature themes, sexual content and nudity, references to alcohol, drug and tobacco use, as well as, profanity and crude humor. This app requires iOS 7.0+ and is optimized for iPhone 5.
