The highly anticipated and unfortunately delayed Watch Dogs has been granted it's release date. Gamers can expect to get their hack on in the near future Chicago on May 27th on most platforms.
The trailer from which the announcement comes shows off quite a bit of story centering on protagonist Aiden Pearce and his story of vengeance for a hit being placed on his head. Between images of human trafficking and player caused blackouts, players get a glimpse of a few of the seedier characters that will populate the world of Watch Dogs, and the action that awaits them at the end of the May.
While Watch Dogs and Ubisoft have both seen their fair share of controversy in recent months, a confirmation of release certainly puts eager gamers looking for a new IP to ease that the next gen investment was indeed a good one. Official news regarding Watch Dogs from Ubisoft has been slim regarding a release date following the push from the launch day of both the Xbox One and Playstation 4, but expect a typical Ubisoft marketing blitz heading into the release of the new title.
