Now that we know the release dates of this Fall's consoles, the complete picture is beginning to come together on how the schedule will affect upcoming titles. For instance, Ubisoft has been promoting Watch Dogs as a launch title for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. At the same time, it has acknowledged November 19 as the release date for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC.
In a press release this morning, Ubisoft said that "Watch Dogs will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at launch." We inquired with the publisher saying that it sounded as if it was releasing November 15 on PS4, November 19 on current gen consoles, and November 22 on Xbox One. Surely that couldn't be the case, or could it?
Within minutes a PR representative responded saying, "Watch Dogs is a launch title for both PS4 and Xbox One. All other platforms will be available on November 19."
So it looks like PlayStation 4 purchasers will get Watch Dogs four days before current gen consoles and an entire week before the Xbox One launches.
