Watch_Dogs, Ubisoft's much anticipated step into a modern day open world gaming experience, was delayed time and time again since its original reveal back in 2011. From originally being a launch title on the PS4, to "first quarter" 2014, Watch_Dogs release date has been under a shroud of mystery for quite some time.

Today, Ubisoft has finally released an official release date via press release: May 27th, 2014.

Today, Ubisoft revealed that its highly anticipated open world action-adventure game, Watch Dogs™, will be released worldwide on May 27, 2014.

Sadly, there is some issues regarding the Nintendo Wii U variant of the title, as it has been delayed until further notice:

Watch Dogs™ will be available on Sony PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, Microsoft Xbox One® the all-in-one games and entertainment system, Microsoft Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system and Windows PC. The Wii U™ version will release at a later date.

No details as to why this is, but given the drama surrounding the existence of the Wii U version as is, it's by the grace of the Video Game gods that it is still on the horizon at this point.
