‘Watch Dogs’ release date decided for PS4 and Xbox One, announcement coming soon

Ubisoft has decided upon a release date for Watch Dogs, which is coming to PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, PC, and last-generation home consoles. According to a report by GamePur from Feb. 25, the creative director of Watch Dogs, Jonathan Morin, disclosed via Twitter that a release date for Watch Dogs is known. Furthermore, additional evidence suggests that a Watch Dogs release date announcement could be coming very soon.

Ubisoft officially dated Watch Dogs for release between the months of April thru June 2014 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, with the Wii U version receiving a slight delay. Though no exact date was announced at the time, it now appears that Ubisoft has settled on an official release date for the game and that an announcement is coming very soon.

When asked if he knows the release date of Watch Dogs on Twitter, Jonathan Morin, creative director of Watch Dogs, replied by stating that he is aware of the release date. However, at the time, couldn’t say anything regarding it. Find Morin’s full comment below:

Additionally, David Thériault, Product Manager of Watch Dogs, shared a couple of interesting Tweets yesterday regarding Watch Dogs. The first Tweet made mention that new data was being uploaded for Watch Dogs. He then Tweeted that people should stay tuned as something will be coming very soon. Find his two Tweets below:

Lastly, the UK PlayStation Site uploaded an image stating that a new Watch Dogs trailer is now available and that the release date is officially revealed in the said trailer. The website has since been updated and the image has been removed, but you can find an image capture of the Watch Dogs release date trailer tease here.
