With the announcement of Ubisoft's new IP, “Watch Dogs,” gamers were astounded with the graphical performance and extreme amount of interactivity that is featured within this title. Showcasing unbelievably fluid gameplay, questions began to populate regarding the game engine that is being used in “Watch Dogs.” Seeing that this is a Ubisoft title, many gamers began to believe that this title was running on the same engine as “Assassin's Creed,” the AnvilNext.
According to a report published by DSOgaming yesterday, it has been officially confirmed that “Watch Dogs” is running on a brand-new game engine, which has been developed specifically for this title. Developed for “Watch Dogs” at Ubisoft Montreal, this new engine is called “Disrupt.”
