Ubisoft’s upcoming new open-world franchise, Watch Dogs, promises to give players choice on how they accomplish different in-game tasks. In a report by Polygon on Oct 5, it was revealed that Senior Director Dominic Guay has confirmed that the majority of the game can be done using stealth tactics that avoid outright combat.
In addition to being able to sneak past possible conflict, gamers will be able to cause distractions using Aiden’s hacking skills within Watch Dogs. Alternatively, players will almost always have the option to simply flee should conflict actually arise. Guay stated that approximately 95 percent of the game can be completed in this fashion, meaning players will rarely be required to ever fire a shot the open-world title. There will only be a limited number of missions that will force Aiden to kill targets, the rest put the decision in the hands of the player.
Watch Dogs launches later this year on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii U, PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4.
