Country singer Carrie Underwood's rendition of "Waiting All Day For Sunday Night" for "NBC Sunday Night Football" was unveiled on Sunday. In the show opening clip, Underwood rocks the house with various football superstars.
In May, it was announced that Underwood would be taking over show intro duties from fellow country singer Faith Hill. With the premiere of this season's "NBC Sunday Night Football," the former "American Idol" champ opened the show. In a blue dress, she emerges on stage and gives an attitude-packed performance of "Waiting All Day For Sunday Night." While she rocks the crowd, various football superstars light up the screen with her. It's a nice revamp for the new season of "Sunday Night."
"Waiting All Day For Sunday Night" is a reworking of the Joan Jett and the Blackhearts' track "I Hate Myself For Losing You." Before Underwood, Hill and pop singer Pink sang the lively tune for "NBC Sunday Night Football."
