Beyoncé crushes the Super Bowl 2013 halftime show
Who won the 2013 Super Bowl? Beyoncé. Beyoncé won the Super Bowl this year. Beyoncé turned in an electric, personable performance, complete with an all-too-brief Destiny's Child reunion. All in all, it was enough to make us forget about the Black Eyed Peas (2011) and Madonna/LMFAO (2012).
After the fallout from her lip-synched inaugural performance, Beyoncé had to not only nail the halftime show but nail it in a way that was inarguably live and authentic.
It's safe to say that Bey did just that.
Indeed, Beyoncé didn't just blow the proverbial roof off, she arguably blew the fuses in the stadium. Ravens fans will say it was Jacoby Jones' epic 108 touchdown run that did it; you'll just have to agree to disagree. (To be clear, though, Beyoncé's performance only figuratively-- but not literally-- brought the house down.)
