Since when does a technology conference become the stuff of celebrity headlines? Since Kate Upton showed up at the Samsung Spring 2013 Launch Party at the Museum of American Finance in New York City on Wednesday, and had a spankin' good time with Flo Rida.
Flo Rida took the stage to perform, and Kate Upton joined him in a sexy blue dress. If that's not enough to make a technology conference exciting, we don't know what is. On the chorus to Flo Rida's hit track "Low," the hip-hop star rapped his famous lyrics "She turned around and gave that big booty a smack," and Upton, this year's Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover model, obliged (as can be seen in the embedded video).
"Low", featuring T-Pain, was a number one hit for ten weeks in the United States in 2008.
In addition to Flo Rida and Upton, other celebrities appeared at the show, demonstrating various functions of Samsung's latest TVs. Among the hardware shown off was the F8000 LED TV. That model drew attention for its gesture control features which enable users to operate the television or zoom in and out and rotate photos simply by speaking to it.
The company also unveiled its 85-inch 85S9 Ultra High Definition TV, which has a resolution four times greater than current Full HD TVs and is bigger in size.
Another celebrity at the show was Super Bowl XLVI MVP Eli Manning, who led the New York Giants to victory over the New England Patriots in the 2012 game.
