Chris Brown, who reportedly just dropped $65,000 on a pair of Neil Lane chandelier earrings for his off-again, on-again girlfriend Rihanna's birthday, exploded on Wednesday night over a $10 valet parking fee (embedded).
The 23-year-old had been at the PINZ Bowling & Entertainment Center at 12655 Ventura Blvd. in Studio City, Calif., for a charity event, the Star and Strikes 2013 Celebrity Bowling and Poker Tournament. He was furious he had to pay the $10 fee (oh, how about a tip?). Charity, it seems, begins at home.
Brown was allegedly angry because he had only been inside the venue for 30 minutes and didn't think he should pay. "Gimme my f*cking keys," he said to the valet. When he was told he needed to pay $10, he added, "F*ck ten dollars." After threatening to "turn this whole thing on out," Brown got his keys and drove away, but it was whether or not he paid the $10 valet fee.
The 2013 Celebrity Bowling and Poker Tournament was held on behalf of the youth-centered charity, A Place Called Home (APCH). Among those featured and billed were The Wanted, Pete Wentz, Patrick Stump, Nick Cannon and will.i.am -- but not Chris Brown.
Ironically, despite his temper tantrum, Brown had tweeted about the event earlier in the day. He said:
Help bring the ARTS to more kids! Come hang @APCH2830 Stars & Strikes tonight! Get tix http://bit.ly/WI4yqO
Please, though, don't forget to help out the underpaid valet parking attendants. Oh, wait, he didn't say that.
Update: Brown claims that he was angry because he was being fleeced. He told TMZ the charge was supposed to be $5, and he thinks he was singled out due to his fame.
