The saga of Amanda Bynes' life has a new entry. Fresh off being rejected from a private jet when a Google search for her wasn't good enough as a form of ID, the troubled actress was arrested at her New York City apartment on Thursday night for marijuana possession and throwing evidence -- a bong -- out a window.
The embedded video shows Bynes being taken into Manhattan Central Booking.
It's been reported, and can be seen in the video, that Bynes attempted to hide her identity at both the scene and booking by lowering her head, covering her face with her long (currently) blond hair. Wearing a long-sleeved black Versace shirt, gray sweatpants and high-tops, it could be seen that not only were her hands handcuffed, her legs were shackled, as well.
The incident began at about 8 p.m. EDT on Thursday, when police responded to a call from Bynes' doorman claiming that the troubled actress had allegedly been smoking pot in the lobby of her building. By the times that police arrived, Bynes had already returned to her apartment.
[Notably, it was reported earlier that Bynes was forced to move from her prior apartment because management received multiple complaints from other tenants of marijuana smoke emanating from her apartment, at all hours -- as well as seeing her smoking weed in the lobby and hallways.]
Once they reached her apartment, Bynes opened the door, and police report that they saw a bong -- for a short period. After Bynes opened the door, and she allegedly went back into the apartment and threw it out the window.
Bynes was taken into custody. She was then taken -- first -- to Roosevelt Hospital to undergo a psychiatric evaluation. She was later transported to Manhattan Central Booking for processing, where she supposedly spent the night.
The actress has been charged with reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence and criminal possession of marijuana. She is expected to appear in front of a judge Friday morning.
