After being shut out of ABC for a while, Adam Lambert was allowed to appear on the network again, if only with a pretaped performance.
After the huge controversy that followed his AMA performance, it was no surprise that Adam Lambert was not allowed to perform live on ABC. Even if the network's decision was an exageration, ABC cannot be blamed if it wanted to stay on the safe side, especially considering the fact that it received 1500+ complaints from viewers.
Adam Lambert himself said he understood the network's decision.
In any case, Adam Lambert was on The View, and fans got yet another chance to see him perform.

As for his interview in the show, the media consensus seems to be that Adam Lambert held his own and did not crumble while talking to co-hosts Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Sherri Shepherd, and Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Adam was the only one in control in that interview!
Adam demonstrated on the View that is is a true professional and can handle any questions with poise, grace, and good humor. He was so charming, sweet, down-to-earth, and gorgeous that it's easy to see why millions of people from diverse backgrounds LOVE Adam. He performed a beautiful song from his album with such raw emotion and spectacular vocals. I LOVE his album because it has even more songs showcasing his gorgeous voice. What a performer. He has talent, looks, personality, and stage presence all rolled into one--He is a SUPERSTAR. No wonder people are calling him a Rock God! He is the best singer we've seen in a long long time.
I can't believe you thought it was reasonable for ABC to insist Adam pre-tape he performance. It was absurd. He was on American Idol for months and months and was not a problem but all that gets thrown out the window because of one show? Now he's a lose cannon? Get a back bone and call out ABC for their obvious homophobia. They are keeping this thing alive by their self righteous, self serving, holier than though treatment of Mr. Lambert. Lucky that he will survive and thrive after this is over. And America may grow up a little, We know history is on his side!! Now talk about the CD!! It's amazing!!
How can't you not watch The View..Adam is a guest Star. I enjoyed every moment of it. I think Adam hold his own and he did awesome job. So is the Ladies in the View they grill him with hard question and Adam superbly gave them all the right answer.
I could careless with The View Show but I watched it cuz Adam will be there, as always Adam looks handsome.
HEY, The LADIES of THE VIEW LOVED HIM, IT WAS A SURPRISE !! Joy said daytime soap operas are sexier n kids home. Eliz said his performance was at 11p.m. which is in adult time frame. Barbara said maybe one was offended but nothing that hasn't been seen before and with all the things going on in world it didn't do all that much harm. They were witty even w tought questions, but clearly like and support Adam, watch the interview for yourself
I can't believe they are acting like this over only 1500 complaints. The Janet Jackson super bowl incident had over 500,000 complaints. Adam totally had those women on The View eating out of the palm of his gloved hand. I loved the expression on Elizabeth's face after Adam sang. (It was the look of pure adoration.) Everyone who meets this kid falls in love with him. I know I did in a crowd of about 10,000 other people.
He held his own so well that I swore Elizabeth was channeling the missing Whoopi instead of being her conservative self. She seemed to be his greatest champion, defending the time slot and his position that it is the job of parents to monitor what their kids see. Way to go Adam!
Adam Lambert is a born star. He excels in so many areas. Both sweet and sexy. He is exciting and grounded. Has the voice of an angel. He is absolutely gorgeous and so so likable. It doesn't get any better than this.
Adam was most definitely in control!! I knew The View gals would be smitten with him. Who wouldn't? He possesses style,grace and a sharp wit! He is also flirty,charming,smart,and forthright. I might add that he is soooo easy on the eyes! I swear he puts people under a spell when they meet/see him!!
The only reason I watched the AmA's was to see Adam Lambert, and Lady Gaga. Eminmen sucked! How embarassing for us that he is from Detroit. He is the one that should have been banned years ago for promoting violence against women. It's ok for that moron to brainwash our children into thinking that its cool to beat up, and rape women. Adam Lambert does one ott performance (that I happened to love)and he is subjected to this bigoted backlash! This is bullsh**
As usual Adam was his charming, handsome, charismatic self. He handled it with humor and grace and no breathing female can resist him. Pre- tapping????ABC quit vilifying this guy--you look ridiculous.
I noticed during The View that ADAM is the touchy kind of a guy. He did it with both Sherri and Joy. It shows ADAM as sincere, sweet, friendly and really a fun guy. Lucky to be his friend. ADAM absolutely disarmed the ladies with his charms.
