Washington State vs. Rutgers game time is nearly here. WSU fans have been waiting a while for this Rutgers game, especially with the disappointing bowl loss still fresh in their minds. According to a new report from CBS Sports on Wednesday (Aug. 27), the updated odds have the Cougars as eight point favorites in this game. The game itself is set to take place on Thursday night (Aug. 28) at CenturyLink Field in Seattle. This should allow fans from the west side of the state a chance to see the Cougars play.

This is the last time that WSU will be playing its annual game in Seattle. It is something that the school has been doing since back in 2002, but it continues to take away a home game that could be played in Pullman each season. Athletic director Bill Moos announced on Wednesday that, “We're going to discontinue it. Really feel that it's run its course -- served us well over the years." It’s a decision that students will probably enjoy quite a bit because it means more games in Pullman.

WSU senior quarterback Connor Halliday will try to bounce back with an even better 2014 college football season and will get a chance to put up big numbers in Week 1. Rutgers has a really good rushing defense, so it could mean even more passing plays for the Cougars in the opener. A lot probably rides on the first quarter of this game as well, with both teams trying to set an early tone. The Washington State vs. Rutgers game is going to be broadcast on Fox1 beginning at 7 p.m. PT.
