It doesn't have to be Halloween to get spooked out in Washington state. There are plenty of spots in The Evergreen State that will shiver your timbers. Here are just a few spooky things to do:

Forks' Twilight Vampires: Experience the Twilight movie firsthand on a guided tour through Forks and La Push, the towns that inspired the best-selling novel. Dazzled by Twilight offers daily tours beginning at 8 AM and during the summer season there's a midnight sun tour at 6 PM. Prices start at $39 and the tours begin at the Dazzled store, which also sells souvenirs for all you

Twi-hards.

Seattle Ghost Tours: Travel through the streets of Seattle with Market Ghost Tours. The hour-log walking tours through the Pike Place Market  are based on the stories of hauntings shared in the community.  Tours are Wednesday-Saturday at 5 PM and 7 PM with additional 9 PM tours on Friday and Saturday. They begin at the Gum Wall o Post Alley. Cost is $15 and children under 8 are free.

Stephen King's Red Rose in Lakewood: Thornewood Castle Inn & Gardens, a luxurious B&B in Lakewood near Tacoma, is a Gothic Tudor style castle -- the only one of its kind on the west coast. And yes, the spirits of the castle's original family continue to watch over the grounds. In 2000, the castle experienced a new level of paranormal activities when Stephen King's Red Rose, a mini-series about a haunted house, was filmed at the castle. Celebrations begin in November 2009 for its 100th anniversary.

Spokane's Haunted Hotel: The Davenport Hotel, located in the heart of downtown Spokane, was built in 1904 by Louis Davenport, and today is a majestic blend of old and new. But for years, rumors have swirled around the grande dame that a woman garbed in 1920s fashion wanders the mezzanine and peers over the railing. The woman is reportedly Mrs Ellen McNamara, who fell to her death through the hotel's lobby skylight in 1920.

Haunted Castle in Port Townsend: The Victorian-style Manresa Castle in Port Townsend is rumored to be haunted. Guests report hearing the sounds of moans and chains from the tower, along with lights turning on and off and windows opening and closing. Legend has it that long ago, a woman leaped to her death from the castle after being jilted by her fiance. Today, the castle is a hotel, restaurant and lounge.
