Washington Nationals mid season review

At the end of April this team was 13-10, not great but hardly terrible. Since then it has not gone well for this team. Sure they make a splash with the debut of Steven Strasburg, but that has not helped them much on the field. They sit with a 36-47 record 10.5 games out of the lead in the National League East. This team went a dreadful 5-13 in interleague play, and still need a lot of work before they will be anything close to resembling a good baseball team.

2010 MLB season preview: Washington Nationals

The usual question, we have to ask ourselves about the Washington National is will they lose 100 games. However this year things could be very different. They have a starting rotation featuring Stephen Strasburg and two time 19 game winner Chien-Ming Wang, a formidable lineup featuring Adam Dunn, Ryan Zimmerman, and Nyjer Morgan, if the defense can improve the question this year may be can the Nationals finish the year with a .500 record.

2009 MLB season in review: Washington Nationals

This is a very bad baseball team, but worse than that this is a terribly run baseball team. Their front office has been involved in a scandal involving kickbacks form Latin players, they got their manager fired, and they took the field with the team name misspelled on their own home uniforms. What else could go wrong for this team? Not much really because they are without a doubt the worst MLB team and they show nothing to give their fans any hope they will get better any time soon.

2009 MLB Draft picks get record contracts

The Washington Nationals signed rookie pitcher, and 2009 first overall draft pick, Stephen Strasburg, to a four year 15.67 million dollar deal with a 7.5 million dollar signing bonus. Strasburg is a 18 year old Right handed pitcher who has a 103 mile per hour fastball. This is by far the largest deal ever given to a rookie pitcher. The question becomes is he really worth it?
