A Skyway, Wash., man is accused of a heinous act of cruelty against his family's five-month-old puppy, reported Thursday's Seattle Times.
According to charging documents, 38-year-old Carlos Anderson allegedly squeezed the Pomeranian puppy named "Missy," so hard that one of her eyes popped out the socket.
According to a King County Sheriff’s deputy, Missy was saved after Anderson's brother witnessed the cruel act, which took place in late Oct., and he successfully pried the man's hands off of the pup's neck.
Anderson allegedly stated:
“you have to fix it before mom gets home,”
According to the Seattle Post Intelligencer, Missy was taken to a veterinarian for surgery but she may not regain her lost vision.
Anderson was booked into the King County jail on Thursday morning for first-degree animal cruelty, a felony - he was promptly released and is due back in court on Jan. 9.
