Washington Huskies come home

The University of Washington Huskies softball team will make their home debut against the Ohio University Bobcats in a game free to all fans.

As they approach the weekend and the annual Husky Softball Classic the No. 19/16 Huskies will play an extra game added late to the schedule.

At 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6th Washington (14-5) will take on Ohio as a precursor to the home tournament that begins on Friday. Because it is a late addition to the schedule the Huskies are making it free admission to all.

The Bobcats (11-3) are coming off a 4-1 tournament record having played last weekend in the UTC Frost Classic.

Washington heads home after recording a 4-0 record at the Colorado State Tournament held March 2nd and 3rd and has a nine-game win streak that began on February 17th.

The Husky Softball Classic begins at 10 am on Friday, March 8th when the University of New Mexico Lobos takes on the Bradley University Braves.

The Huskies, who begin Pac-12 play on March 23rd, play their first game of the tournament at 7 pm that evening against Ohio at the Husky Softball Stadium on the UW campus in Seattle.
