The Washington Huskies needed every ounce of intensity and skill as they faced off with the USC Trojans in what turned out to be a tight five-set match at the Galen Center on the USC campus in Los Angeles.

The Huskies lost the first two games 26-28 and 23-25 but fought back to take the next three 25-22, 25-18 and 17-15 to punch their ticket to the Final Four being held in their backyard at the KeyArena in Seattle.

Washington was led by junior outside hitter Krista Vansant who ended with 38 kills and 30 digs. Vansant had 14 of those kills in the fourth set. Sophomore outside hitter Cassie Strickland finished with 11 kills. The Trojans were led by freshman sensation outside hitter Ebony Nwanebu who ended with 30 kills and a .566 percent kill rate.

The No. 3 Huskies will join NCAA Women's Volleyball defending champion and number one seed Texas Longhorns, No. 2 Penn State Nittany Lions and the surprising No. 12 Wisconsin Badgers.

The Final Four takes place on Thursday, December 19th with Washington (30-2) taking on Penn State (32-2) and Texas (27-2) against Wisconsin (27-9).

The winners will face off in the championship game on Saturday, December 21st. All games will be held at the KeyArena.
