This afternoon: Mostly sunny and hot with a high in the low to mid 90s. There is a slight chance of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm.
Tonight: A thunderstorm or thundershower is possible, then mostly cloudy overnight with a low in the lower 70s.
Wednesday: Becoming mostly sunny during the afternoon. Not as hot or humid with a high in the mid to upper 80s.
Wednesday Night: Mostly clear with a low in the mid 60s.
Thursday: Mostly sunny with a high in the mid 80s.
The extended forecast calls for a mostly sunny sky on Friday with a low in the mid 60s and a high in the mid 80s. Clouds and sun on Saturday with afternoon and evening thunderstorms. The low will be in the lower 70s and the high will be around 90. Clouds and sun on Sunday with scattered light showers. The high will be near 80. Mostly sunny on Monday with lows in the lower 60s and highs in the upper 70s.
High pressure will produce hot and humid conditions in the Middle Atlantic region today. Temperatures this afternoon are in the lower to middle 90s. A cold front will move across the state later this evening, with showers and thunderstorms possible. In the wake of the cold front, slightly cooler and less humid air will overspread the region on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with daytime highs in the 80s. Another front is expected to approach the area on Saturday, followed by much cooler weather on Sunday and Monday with highs only in the 70s.
