Tuesday: Sunny and pleasant with a high in the mid 60s.
Tuesday Night: A clear sky with a low around 40.

The extended forecast calls for a chance of rain showers on Thursday with a low in the upper 40s and a high in the lower 60s. A chance of rain showers on Friday with a low in the lower 50s and a high in the upper 50s. Mostly sunny on Saturday and Sunday with lows in the 40s and highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s.
The area of low pressure that produced widespread rain, sleet, and snow in Baltimore and Washington yesterday continues to move away from the eastern seaboard. While a coating of snow fell near BWI Airport in central Maryland, portions of northern Maryland reported 4 to 8 inches of snow! Meanwhile, high pressure is building in from the west today. The pressure gradient between the low and the high is producing strong winds today that will gust over 30 miles per hour at times. Despite the wind, the sky will be mostly sunny and temperatures will rebound into the 50s to near 60 this afternoon. Winds will gradually diminish as we head into the evening hours and temperatures will fall back into the 30s with a clear sky, high pressure overhead, and light winds. After a cool start to the day on Tuesday, a southerly flow around the center of high pressure will enable thermometer readings to bounce back into the mid 60s. A cold front will approach the region on Wednesday. This will produce increasing cloudiness during the afternoon hours, but it will be mild with highs approaching 70. A wave of low pressure moving along the frontal boundary is expected to result in widespread rain showers on Thursday and Friday with highs in the 50s. At the moment, it appears that both Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny and pleasant with highs in the 50s to near 60. The average high for early April is in the lower 60s.
