Weather Summary

Showers and thunderstorms produced heavy rainfall in some areas yesterday. The storms were caused by a cold front moving in from the west, and clashing with warm and humid air in place over the Middle Atlantic states. In the wake of the cold front, today's weather features a blue sky with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures. Readings this afternoon will climb into the 80s with slightly less humidity compared to yesterday. There is a slight chance of an afternoon thundershower. Meanwhile, yet another cold front is expected to impact the area by Thursday with showers and thunderstorms. Looking ahead, the period Friday through Sunday looks sunny and seasonably warm with tolerable levels of humidity. Low will be in the 60s and highs in the lower 80s.
