Weather Summary

Low pressure near Delmarva will impact Baltimore and Washington with considerable cloudiness and scattered rain showers today. The air mass overhead is very humid and the sky has remained cloudy for the most of the morning and early afternoon. Most areas have remained dry or have experienced some very light rain showers; however, locations around Washington DC have been impacted by heavy rain showers. This prompted the National Weather Service to issue a Flash Flood Watch for areas near Baltimore and Washington. The center of low pressure will begin to dissipate and its influence will wane as we move into Wednesday. Meanwhile, low pressure to our southwest will bring a warm front through the region by late Thursday. Although we will see some sunshine on Wednesday and Thursday, instability will allow for the development of afternoon thunderstorms (particularly on Thursday). A cold front will follow on Friday, setting the stage for a sunny, pleasant weekend with lower humidity. Both Saturday and Sunday will feature sunshine with lows in the low 60s and highs in the lower 80s.
