A series of relatively mild days will transition to hot and humid conditions on Wednesday. With high pressure to our east, and a cold front approaching from the west, a very warm and humid flow of air is expected to overspread the region and increase thunderstorm chances from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning. Highs on Wednesday will reach the lower 90s. The front is expected to push eastward during the day on Thursday, with morning showers and thunderstorms giving way to partial clearing. High pressure will then build over the Middle Atlantic states on Friday and Saturday with seasonably warm temperatures and lower humidity.
