Widespread thunderstorms on Thursday with a low around 70 and a high in the mid 80s. Becoming sunny and less humid on Friday with a low in the upper 60s and a high in the lower 80s. High pressure off the coast of New England will create an onshore flow of air over the Mid Atlantic states today. This will result in considerable cloudiness and areas of morning fog, but most areas will remain dry throughout the day. Temperatures in the lower 70s this morning will reach the lower 80s this afternoon. More sunshine is expected this afternoon, but considerable cloudiness can be expected as the high brings an easterly wind over the region. There is a slight chance of a thundershower this afternoon or evening, but most areas will remain dry. Thunderstorm chances increase on Wednesday and Thursday as a cold front approaches Baltimore and Washington from the west. Warm, but less humid, conditions return on Friday and Saturday in the wake of the cold front.
