The extended forecast calls for warm and humid conditions on Tuesday with a slight chance of a thunderstorm. The low will be around 70 and the high will be in the upper 80s. Warm and humid on Wednesday with a low around 70 and the high will be in the upper 80s. Widespread thunderstorms on Thursday with a low around 70 and a high in the mid 80s. Becoming sunny and less humid on Friday with a low in the upper 60s and a high in the lower 80s. Sunshine on Saturday with a low in the mid 60s and a high in the mid 80s.
High pressure off the coast of New England will create an onshore flow of air over the Mid Atlantic states today. This will result in considerable cloudiness and areas of morning fog, but most areas will remain dry throughout the day. Temperatures in the lower 70s this morning will only reach the mid to upper 70s by afternoon, perhaps a few degrees warmer if some cloud breaks develop. On Monday we can expect much of the same with an easterly fetch providing morning fog and considerable cloudiness during the day. There will be more breaks in the clouds and temperatures will be a bit warmer with highs in the mid 80s. Thunderstorm chances increase on Wednesday and Thursday as a cold front approaches Baltimore and Washington from the west.
