High pressure over the northeast United States will provide a warm, southerly flow over the Mid-Atlantic states today. The high will keep the area mostly sunny this morning but a warm front will move from south to north across the area, producing a few clouds and isolated thundershowers this afternoon. Moving into next week, warm and humid conditions are expected on Monday and Tuesday followed by a strong cold front that will produce widespread thunderstorms on Tuesday afternoon and evening. Cooler and less humid air will overspread the Middle Atlantic states by the middle of the week with highs only in the upper 70s in Baltimore and Washington by Thursday.
