Today: Hazy, very warm, and humid with a chance of a thunderstorm. The high will be in the mid to upper 80s.
Tonight: Mostly clear but warm with a low in the lower 70s.
Sunday: Clouds and sun with a thundershower possible. The high will be in the mid to upper 80s.
The extended forecast calls for clouds and sun on Monday with a chance of a thunderstorm. The low will be in the upper 60s and the high will be in the upper 80s. Clouds and sun on Tuesday with widespread thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening. The low will be near 70 and the high will be in the upper 80s. Clouds giving way to sunshine on Wednesday with a low around 70 and a high in the mid 80s. Sunny on Thursday with a low in the upper 50s and a high in the upper 70s.
High pressure over the northeast United States will provide a warm, southerly flow over the Mid-Atlantic states today. The high will keep the area sunny and dry with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 80s. Meanwhile, a warm front will move from south to north across the area on Sunday, producing a few clouds and isolated thundershowers. Moving into next week, warm and humid conditions are expected on Monday and Tuesday followed by a strong cold front that will produce widespread thunderstorms on Tuesday afternoon and evening. Cooler and less humid air will overspread the Middle Atlantic states by the middle of the week with highs only in the upper 70s in Baltimore and Washington by Thursday.
