Brian's exclusive forecast for Washington DC:
This afternoon: Hazy sunshine, warm and humid, with a slight chance of a thunderstorm. The high will be in the mid to upper 80s.
Tonight: Varying amounts of cloudiness. Warm and humid with a low around 70.
Wednesday: Warm and humid with a good chance of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm. The high will be in the mid to upper 80s.
Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy with a few showers. A thunderstorm is possible early. The low will be in the mid 60s.
Thursday: Sunny and pleasant with a low in the mid 60s and a high in the lower 80s.
The extended outlook calls for sunshine on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with lows in the mid 60s and highs each day in the low to mid 80s.
The front to our south and east is causing considerable amounts of cloudiness, especially over southern Maryland into southeastern Virginia. Scattered showers and thundershowers are also occurring in parts of the Middle Atlantic states, but Baltimore and Washington are far enough to the northwest of the coastal front that our skies are mostly sunny. Meanwhile, a cold front will push across central Maryland on Wednesday and produce thunderstorms. In the wake of the cold frontal passage, pleasant weather is expected on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with sunshine and comfortable levels of humidity.
