Weather Summary

The main features on the weather map this evening include an upper low over western Pennsylvania and a stationary frontal boundary along the East Coast. The front to our south and east is causing considerable amounts of cloudiness, especially over southern Maryland into southeastern Virginia. Scattered showers and thundershowers are also occurring in parts of the Middle Atlantic states. During the upcoming week we can expect warmer and more humid conditions on Monday and Tuesday as a southerly flow develops in advance of a cold front. The front will push across central Maryland on Wednesday and produce thunderstorms. In the wake of the cold frontal passage, pleasant weather is expected on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday with sunshine and comfortable levels of humidity.
