High pressure over New England will provide the Middle Atlantic region with sunshine and warm, but seasonal, temperatures today. Meanwhile, a cold front will approach the area from the west on Tuesday and pass by to our southeast by Wednesday morning. The frontal passage will produce widespread showers and storms, especially on Tuesday into Tuesday evening. Clouds and showers may linger into Wednesday morning, particularly on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. In the wake of the cold front, sunshine returns later next week with lower humidity and mild temperatures with highs only in the upper 70s to around 80 on Wednesday through Friday.
