A frontal system along the eastern seaboard will keep the Middle Atlantic states unseasonably mild and wet through the upcoming weekend. Most of the showers and storms will occur over southern Maryland as well as central and southeastern Virginia. However, occasional showers and thunderstorms will move into the Baltimore and Washington areas on Saturday. By Sunday, the front will still be making an impact on the region, although warmer and more humid air will overspread the area. However, this will likely increase stability along with a better chance of thunderstorms. The front should begin to shift eastward early next week, but lingering thundershowers are anticipated into Monday. Thereafter, our weather will turn drier with more sunshine on Tuesday through Thursday with highs each day in the mid 80s.
