Brian's exclusive forecast for Washington DC:
Tonight: Mostly clear and seasonably chilly with a low from the upper 30s to lower 40s.
Thursday: Mostly sunny and pleasant with a high in the upper 60s to near 70.
Thursday Night: Variable cloudiness and mild with a low in the lower 50s.
Friday: Clouds and sun with scattered rain showers. The high will be near 70.
The extended forecast calls for sunshine on Saturday with a low in the upper 40s and a high in the upper 60s. Mostly sunny and mild on Sunday with a low in the middle 50s and a high in the lower 70s. Clouds and sun on Monday with a low in the upper 50s and a high in the lower to middle 70s. A good chance of rain showers on Tuesday with a low in the upper 50s and a high in the mid 60s.
A pleasant spring day was experienced on Wednesday across the Middle Atlantic region as high pressure moved over the region from the southwest. The high resulted in breezy conditions at times, but there was plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures as highs reached the mid to upper 60s. The high will continue to provide sunny and pleasant conditions through the day on Thursday with highs once again in the upper 60s. This high will nudge offshore on Friday as a cold front approaches the area from the west. This will produce more cloudiness with a few scattered rain showers, but most locations will remain dry.. Warm air surging northward ahead of the front will enable temperatures to reach 70 on Friday. In the wake of the cold front, winds will shift to the northwest and sunshine will return for Saturday and Sunday as high pressure builds over the area. As this high moves to our east on Sunday, a more southerly flow of air will develop and temperatures will approach the lower 70s on Sunday and the middle 70s on Monday. Next week will bring some changes with showers on Tuesday and much cooler conditions for the rest of the week.
