Tuesday Night: Mostly clear with a low in the lower 40s.

The extended forecast calls for a sunny sky on Thursday with a low in the lower 40s and a high in the mid 60s. Clouds and sun on Friday with a low in the upper 40s and a high in the upper 60s. Clouds and sun on Saturday with a low in the lower 50s and a high in the upper 60s. Mostly sunny on Sunday with a low in the mid 50s and a high in the lower to middle 70s.
Low pressure will move from the Tennessee Valley into southern Canada tonight. Precipitation associated with this low will fall over the Middle Atlantic states overnight with light to occasionally moderate rain showers. As the low begins to move northward to Canada this evening, a warm front will move through the area and enable temperatures to rise through the 50s during the overnight period. During this time, areas of dense fog may develop. Meanwhile, a cold front connected to the center of low pressure will swing through Baltimore and Washington later toward morning. Morning cloudiness on Tuesday will give way to increasing sunshine as the front moves to our south and east and as cooler and drier air overspreads the region. Temperatures will rebound into the 60s on Tuesday under a mostly sunny sky. High pressure will provide us with plenty of sunshine on Thursday and Friday with afternoon temperatures approaching 70 degrees each day. A weak cold front will move through the region on Friday night and early Saturday. There may be a few isolated showers and some cloudiness, but most areas will remain dry. A mostly sunny sky on Sunday will be accompanied by temperatures in the lower to middle 70s.
