Low pressure will move from the Tennessee Valley into southern Canada today. Precipitation associated with this low will fall over the Middle Atlantic states today with light to occasionally moderate rain showers. Temperatures will be cool with readings only in the 40s through the afternoon hours. As the low begins to move northward to Canada this evening, a warm front will move through the area and hold temperatures in the 40s during the overnight period. Meanwhile, a cold front connected to the center of low pressure will swing through Baltimore and Washington later tonight. Morning cloudiness on Tuesday will give way to increasing sunshine as the front moves to our south and east and as cooler and drier air overspreads the region. Temperatures will rebound into the 60s on Tuesday under a mostly sunny sky. High pressure will provide us with plenty of sunshine on Thursday and Friday with afternoon temperatures approaching 70 degrees each day. A weak cold front will move through the region on Friday night and early Saturday. There may be a few isolated showers and some cloudiness, but most areas will remain dry. A mostly sunny sky on Sunday will be accompanied by temperatures in the lower to middle 70s.
