Weather Summary

High pressure will influence our weather this morning with plenty of sunshine, but the high will move offshore as clouds increase throughout the afternoon hours. Meanwhile, an area of low pressure in the Ohio Valley will move through our region tonight and early Saturday, producing widespread rain showers and possible thunderstorms. As the low moves off to our northeast on Saturday afternoon, warmer air will overspread the area with highs in the middle 70s. There will be more sun on Saturday, but a few scattered rain showers cannot be ruled out through the afternoon and evening hours. On Saturday night and Sunday, high pressure from Canada will nose down into the Middle Atlantic states. This will result in a clear sky on Saturday night and a sunny day on Sunday, but temperatures will be much cooler with lows in the 40s and highs in the 60s. After a sunny and pleasant day on Monday, another area of low pressure will impact the region with widespread rain showers on Tuesday and Wednesday. Much cooler temperatures will accompany the rain with highs only in the 50s each day.
