Weather Summary

High pressure, clear skies, and light winds enabled the mercury to drop into the upper 30s to lower 40s this morning. However, temperatures will recover quickly during the day with afternoon highs approaching 70 degrees. This high will nudge offshore on Friday as a cold front approaches the area from the west. This will produce more cloudiness with a few scattered rain showers by late Friday afternoon and into the evening hours. Low pressure moving along the frontal boundary may produce more widespread showers Friday night into early Saturday. A thundershower is not out of the question, but no severe weather is anticipated. Warm air surging northward ahead of the front will enable temperatures to reach the lower 70s on Friday. In the wake of the cold front, winds will shift to the northwest and sunshine will return for Saturday and Sunday as high pressure builds over the area. As this high moves to our east on Sunday, a more southerly flow of air will develop and temperatures will approach the lower 70s on Sunday and the middle 70s on Monday. Next week will bring some changes with showers on Tuesday and much cooler conditions for the rest of the week with highs only in the 50s on Tuesday and Wednesday.
