Brian's exclusive forecast for Washington DC:
This evening: Mostly clear and pleasant, but not as cool as recent nights with a low around 70.
Sunday: Warm and humid with hazy sunshine. There is a slight chance of an afternoon thunderstorm. The high will be near 90.
Sunday Night: A good chance of thunderstorms with a low in the upper 60s.
Monday: Clouds and sun with occasional thundershowers, especially early in the day. The high will be in the mid 80s.
The extended forecast calls for sunshine and less humid conditions on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday with lows in the upper 50s to lower 60s and highs in the upper 70s on Tuesday to the lower 80s on Wednesday and Thursday.
High pressure off the coast is producing a warm and humid flow of air over the region. This will be more noticeable on Sunday with high temperatures near 90 along with higher humidity. There is a slight chance of a thunderstorm on Sunday afternoon, but storms will become more widespread on Sunday night and Monday morning as a strong cold front approaches from the west. As the front moves to our south and east on Tuesday, beautiful mid-summer weather will develop with sunshine and low humidity on Tuesday through Thursday.
