On Tuesday, November 16th a man surrendered five Shih Tzu/Japanese Chin puppies to the Washington Animal Rescue League because he didn't have a job and couldn't care for them. They are several months old and were covered in feces/urine and had severely matted fur.
They will be bathed and shaved, vaccinated and spayed/neutered, and will be made available once they've worked with our trainers to become more socialized. The man said he didnt' think his adult dogs could breed because he didn't know they weren't spayed/neutered, but now will keep the dogs apart and will have them spayed/neutered.
